PRE-CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Please follow these guidelines before your permanent makeup appointment to ensure the best possible results and a smooth healing process.

1. A consultation is recommended before your first PMU appointment to discuss shape, style, and color.

2. Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and energy drinks for 24 hours before your appointment — these thin the blood and increase sensitivity.

3. Do not take blood-thinning medications (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E) for 48 hours before treatment, unless medically required.

4. Avoid Botox, fillers, or any injectables in the treatment area for at least 4 weeks prior.

5. Do not use retinol, AHA, BHA, or anti-aging products on the treatment area for 1 week before your appointment.

6. Avoid chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and laser treatments on the treatment area for at least 4 weeks prior.

7. Stop waxing, threading, or tinting the treatment area for at least 3 days before your session.

8. Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for 2 weeks before treatment. Sunburned skin cannot be worked on.

9. Do not wear makeup on the treatment area on the day of your appointment.

10. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have any medical conditions (diabetes, skin disorders, autoimmune issues), please inform us in advance.

11. Eat a proper meal and stay hydrated before your appointment — this helps your body handle the procedure better.

POST-CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Proper aftercare is essential for beautiful, long-lasting results. Please follow these instructions carefully during the healing process.

1. Gently blot the treated area with a clean tissue for the first few hours to remove any lymph fluid — do not rub.

2. Starting the next day, cleanse the area gently twice daily with a fragrance-free cleanser and lukewarm water. Pat dry with a clean towel.

3. Apply a thin layer of the healing ointment provided 2–3 times daily for 7–10 days. Do not over-apply.

4. Do not pick, scratch, or peel scabs — let them fall off naturally. Picking can result in pigment loss and scarring.

5. Avoid getting the area wet for the first 7 days — no long showers, swimming, hot tubs, saunas, or steam rooms.

6. Do not apply makeup, skincare products, or cosmetics on the treated area until fully healed (typically 10–14 days).

7. Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for at least 4 weeks after treatment. Apply SPF 30+ once fully healed.

8. Avoid heavy sweating and intense exercise for 7 days.

9. Sleep on your back if possible for the first few nights to avoid rubbing the treated area on pillows.

10. Do not use retinol, AHAs, BHAs, exfoliants, or anti-aging products on the treated area for 4 weeks.

11. Avoid facials, chemical peels, laser treatments, and microdermabrasion on the treated area for at least 4 weeks.

12. A touch-up appointment is typically required 6–8 weeks after the initial session to perfect the results.

13. Contact us immediately if you experience excessive swelling, signs of infection, or unusual reactions.
